The Revelation of Jesus Christ

What is it about storms, thunder and lightning that remind us of God?

There is this loud and intimidating noise that comes from the “heavens” and reminds us that we are not alone

There is the lightning the comes so quickly and with so much power that we cannot withstand it

Even with all our technology we cannot stand against tornadoes, hurricanes, floods and other disasters that come from above.

Then there are the white fluffy clouds on a blue sky day. What do they remind us of?

The Lamb of God that was perfect and peaceful and though no wrong was found in Him yet He gave His life for each one of ours.

The Apostles thought that when they found Jesus He would be as a Lion and yet He was a Lamb.

Is it possible Believers could be wrong twice?

Is it possible that Jesus will come back as the Lion and not the Lamb?

I have a Bible that I love for a specific reason. It lists out the whole name of the last book of the Bible – “The Revelation of Jesus Christ”.
Revelation 1
1The Revelation of Jesus Christ…
14His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
15And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
16And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.

Economic Cycles discovered by Joseph

Almost eerily, Buffett linked Joseph's seven-year cycles with the performance of the Dow Jones at the close of the 20th century. He recognized that the concept of economic cycles discovered by Joseph is as relevant today as it was then, and could only be ignored at our own peril.

The concept of economic cycles discovered by Joseph is as relevant today as it was then, and could only be ignored at our own peril.

And so, just about seven years after the bull market again began to roar in 2001, the seven "fat cows" of prosperity are being swallowed up the "lean cows" of sub-prime mortgage defaults, bankruptcies and hedge-fund collapses in 2008.

NFL Draft & the Rapture

TJ,

I too am a fan of the NFL draft. You have to be a fan to enjoy watching something that can be as “dry” as the draft. Its good on the doves to share these things – you never know when someone else has the same interest.

I am a Broncos fan and my favorite draft recently was two years ago when they moved up to draft Jay Cutler.

I’ve been told that I relate everything to prophecy and its probably an accurate assessment. I think the draft has some things to learn from that for those who are interested God could be speaking into our hearts.

You see on draft day, the players are chosen by the team and not the other way around (way different than college recruiting). I feel this is similar to how God chooses us.

Many times when a team is considering a player they may call them ahead of time. But many times they have no idea or there can be false alarms. The teams need to keep there intentions secret since other teams may then pick the very player they are targeting. This reminds me of how Jesus comes for us as a thief in the night.

Then finally the team makes its selection and the Commissioner takes it to the podium to make the formal announcement. For fan favorite picks there may be cheering. Usually in the team rooms there is always cheering when “they get their guy”. Next you see the player on the phone with the head coach or owner. Soon after this they are hurried to a private jet where they are flown to be directly with the team that very day. Then there is all the hoopla of a media conference where the player gets to share there testimony of how they got to this point of such a great honor to be selected by an NFL team. This all reminds me very much of the Rapture!!!

TJ, even though I’m not a Cowboy fan I’ll give you a “How bout them Cowboys” anyways as my brother!

YBIC,

Tony

3 years since May 5th 2005

I appreciated what you wrote about Paul, Arabia & 3 years. I have been thinking about that lately. Also about being revived on the “3rd day”.

In Galatians 1:17-18 Paul explicitly stated, “Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus. Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days.”

I have looked after prophecy my whole life and the Rapture for about 8 years. But the first date that I sat and waited out every minute was May 5th 2005. I studied every minute of every day for several months leading up to it. Needless to say, it was a let down & discouraging. Several dates have gone by since then.

This year will be 3 years since then and for whatever reason I have been thinking about that aspect of Paul, Arabia and the mountain.

I am eagerly watching this spring starting with Palm Sunday, Purim, & Easter weekend, but will be watching through Pentecost (& beyond if need be).

Blessings,

Tony
